Kebbi | House of representatives
Hon. Yakubu Bello Muhammed is a Nigerian politician from Kebbi State who has been involved in the political affairs of the state and the representation of the people of the Bunza/Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo Federal Constituency. He is a member of the political class in Kebbi and has previously served in the National Assembly, giving him experience in federal legislative affairs and constituency representation.
Bello's political career has been closely connected with the communities that make up his federal constituency. The Bunza, Birnin Kebbi and Kalgo areas form an important political constituency in Kebbi State, and his public career has involved engagement with political stakeholders and constituents across the three local government areas.
He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2019, representing the Bunza/Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). His election gave him the opportunity to participate in federal lawmaking and to represent the interests of his constituents at the national level.
During his time in the House, Bello participated in legislative activities and constituency matters, including issues relating to development and the welfare of communities within his constituency. His legislative experience also placed him within the wider political structure of Kebbi State and the National Assembly.
Bello's political journey has also included movement between political parties. In 2022, while serving in the House, he defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) back to the APC, explaining that he had responded to calls from supporters to return to the party. His political activities have consequently remained connected to the major political developments in Kebbi State.
For the 2027 general elections, Yakubu Muhammed Bello is listed as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Bunza/Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo Federal Constituency. His candidacy places him among the politicians seeking to represent the constituency at the federal level in the next electoral cycle.
With previous experience in the House of Representatives and a political background in Kebbi State, Yakubu Muhammed Bello's public career combines legislative experience with continued participation in the politics of the Bunza, Birnin Kebbi and Kalgo communities.
