About Suleiman Adamu (Hon.)

Hon. Suleiman Adamu, also identified in political records as Adamu Suleiman Kpautagi, is a Nigerian politician from Niger State associated with the Lavun/Edati/Mokwa Federal Constituency. He has been involved in Niger State politics and has built his political profile around grassroots development and representation of communities in the constituency.

Adamu Suleiman comes from Kpautagi in Niger State and has been active in the political affairs of the state. Before seeking elective office at the federal level, he was involved in the activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he became known as a party chieftain and political aspirant.

In 2026, Suleiman declared his intention to contest the Lavun/Edati/Mokwa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives. In explaining his decision, he cited his desire to contribute to the development of the constituency and expressed concern about the availability of basic infrastructure and opportunities for residents, particularly young people.

His stated areas of concern include rural infrastructure, education, employment and youth development. He has also emphasized the importance of cooperation between federal legislators and the Niger State Government in implementing development projects that can improve living conditions and strengthen economic opportunities across Lavun, Edati and Mokwa.

Suleiman subsequently became involved in the APC's 2027 House of Representatives primary process for the constituency. Following changes to the party's list of candidates, the APC submitted his name as its candidate for the Lavun/Edati/Mokwa Federal Constituency. The decision was later challenged in court by former Niger State House of Assembly Speaker Adamu Usman, who disputed the substitution of his name with Suleiman's and maintained that he had emerged from the party's primary process. The matter remained subject to judicial proceedings.

Current electoral records list Suleiman Adamu as a candidate for the Lavun/Mokwa/Edati Federal Constituency in the 2027 election. His political campaign is centered on development of the three-LGA constituency and improving access to infrastructure and opportunities for residents.

Suleiman Adamu's political profile is therefore primarily associated with grassroots politics in Niger State and his bid for federal legislative representation. His 2027 candidacy represents his effort to move into the National Assembly and contribute to the development of Lavun, Edati and Mokwa through federal representation.
