Biography of Sani Abdullahi Rogo

Hon. Sani Abdullahi Rogo is a Nigerian politician from Kano State and a member of the Federal House of Representatives. He represents the Karaye/Rogo Federal Constituency of Kano State in the National Assembly. His political career has been built around public service and grassroots representation, particularly within Kano State.

Sani Abdullahi Rogo was born on 19 January 1959 in Kano State. He obtained his early education in the state before proceeding with his secondary and higher education. His educational background provided him with a foundation for his subsequent career in public administration and politics.

Before entering the National Assembly, Rogo was involved in public service in Kano State. He served as Commissioner for Local Government Affairs during the administration of former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau. His experience in state administration gave him exposure to local government affairs and the political and developmental concerns of communities across Kano State.

Rogo later contested for the Karaye/Rogo Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 general elections under the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). He won the election and became a member of the 10th National Assembly, where he began representing the interests of his constituents at the federal level.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Sani Abdullahi Rogo participates in legislative activities and represents the concerns of people in the Karaye and Rogo areas of Kano State. His experience in both state-level administration and federal legislation has formed an important part of his public-service career.

In the course of the 10th National Assembly, Rogo became associated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) after leaving the NNPP. His political activities continue to focus on representation, public service, and the interests of his constituency in Kano State.
