Hon. Rotimi Akintunde Oluwaseun is a Nigerian politician, public policy advocate and legislator from Ekiti State. Born on 17 April 1981, he represents the Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency of Ekiti State in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was elected in the 2023 general elections and is serving in the 10th National Assembly.
Rotimi has an academic background in the social sciences and strategic studies. He holds a bachelor's degree in Geography and a master's degree in Diplomacy and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos. His professional experience includes work as a legislative aide and policy adviser within the National Assembly, giving him experience in legislative affairs, public policy and government relations.
Before his election to the House of Representatives, he served as Director of Communications in the Ekiti State Governor's Office. He was also involved in public relations and strategic communications through his professional work, including his association with a public relations and strategy firm. His background in communications contributed to his involvement in public affairs and governance communication.
In the 10th National Assembly, Rotimi serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs and has also served as the spokesperson of the House of Representatives. His legislative interests include healthcare, education, economic empowerment, infrastructure, social security and security. He has also sponsored legislative initiatives relating to the development of his constituency, including a bill seeking the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Ikole-Ekiti.
Rotimi Akintunde Oluwaseun remains active in national and Ekiti State politics. He has continued to combine his legislative responsibilities with public communication and constituency representation as the member representing Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency.
