Biography of Hon. Raphael Nnanna Igbokwe

Hon. Raphael Nnanna Igbokwe is a Nigerian politician from Imo State and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is associated with the Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency and has previously represented the constituency in the House of Representatives.

Igbokwe served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019, representing Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte. During his time in the National Assembly, he participated in legislative activities and was also involved in youth-focused parliamentary initiatives. He served as President of the Forum of Young MPs in Nigeria and was involved in the advocacy that contributed to the passage of the Not Too Young to Run legislation.

In 2018, while serving in the House, Igbokwe sought a third term to continue representing the constituency. He subsequently contested the 2019 election under the APC but was not returned to the National Assembly.

Following his time as a legislator, Igbokwe continued his involvement in public affairs. In 2019, he was appointed as a Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Legislative Matters. He has also remained active in political organisation and affairs involving former legislators.

Igbokwe later sought a return to the House of Representatives and contested the 2023 election under the APC. He is listed as the APC candidate for Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.
