Biography of Engr. Ramatu Sali Bello

Engr. Ramatu Sali Bello is a Nigerian engineer, philanthropist and politician from Adamawa State. She is a prominent grassroots figure in the state and has become known for her community development and humanitarian activities, particularly through the Ramat Care Foundation.

Her humanitarian activities began through the Ramat Care Foundation, which was established in Lafia, Nasarawa State, in 2008. Through the foundation, she has supported widows, orphans, women, farmers and other less privileged members of society. Her interventions have included the distribution of food and relief materials, provision of potable water, agricultural support and various empowerment programmes.

Ramatu Sali Bello has also been actively involved in politics and grassroots mobilisation in Adamawa State. She has maintained strong connections with communities in the Mubi area and has participated in initiatives focused on improving the welfare of women, youths and vulnerable groups.

In May 2026, she emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election. Her emergence followed the APC's National Assembly primary election in Adamawa State. She subsequently received significant support from political stakeholders, traditional leaders, women and youth groups across the constituency.

Her political agenda centres on effective representation, community development, empowerment of women and youths, improved infrastructure and greater federal presence in rural communities. She has also advocated for stronger opportunities for women to participate in elective positions and national decision-making.

Beyond politics, Ramatu Sali Bello is recognised for her philanthropic activities and continued engagement with grassroots communities. Her humanitarian work and political involvement have positioned her as one of the prominent female political figures in Adamawa State.

As the APC candidate for the Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency, Engr. Ramatu Sali Bello is seeking to bring her experience in engineering, philanthropy and grassroots mobilisation into legislative representation at the National Assembly.
