Biography of Senator Patrick Chiwuba Ndubueze

Senator Patrick Chiwuba Ndubueze is a Nigerian civil engineer, businessman, politician, and public administrator who represents Imo North Senatorial District (Okigwe Zone) in the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he is widely recognized for his contributions to infrastructure development, legislative service, and grassroots representation. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, where he oversees legislative matters relating to Nigeria's road and transport infrastructure.

Born on 16 March 1963, Senator Ndubueze hails from Umualumoke in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State. He received his early education in Nigeria before obtaining a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering. He is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE). His academic and professional background laid the foundation for a successful career in engineering, construction, and public service.

Before entering active politics, Senator Ndubueze built a successful career in civil engineering and construction. He served as the Chairman and Managing Director of NEIC Nigeria Limited, a road construction company involved in infrastructure development across Nigeria. His experience in engineering and project management earned him recognition as a respected professional and entrepreneur.

His political career began in 1992, when he was elected to the House of Representatives at the age of 29 to represent the Okigwe Federal Constituency. During his tenure, he participated in legislative activities aimed at promoting development, improving public infrastructure, and advancing the interests of his constituents. His early entry into national politics established him as one of the emerging political leaders from Imo State.

In the 2023 general elections, Patrick Ndubueze was elected to represent Imo North Senatorial District in the Senate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was sworn into office on 13 June 2023 as a member of the 10th National Assembly. Since assuming office, he has actively participated in lawmaking, policy development, and legislative oversight, with a particular focus on infrastructure, transportation, and economic development.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, Senator Ndubueze has championed initiatives aimed at improving Nigeria's road network and public infrastructure. He has sponsored and supported legislation designed to promote national development, including the establishment of the Federal University, Okigwe, and has consistently advocated for increased investment in infrastructure and institutional reforms.
