About Modibo Ismail Musa (Hon.)

Hon. Modibo Ismail Musa, also known as Ismail Musa Modibbo, is a Nigerian politician and public administrator from Niger State. He represents the Shiroro/Rafi/Munya Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was elected to the 10th National Assembly in the 2023 general election, succeeding Saidu Doka Umar as the representative of the constituency.

Modibo Ismail Musa was born on 1 January 1980, although some records give 1981 as his year of birth. He has a background in Public Administration and holds a bachelor's degree in the field. His academic and professional background has been complemented by leadership and legislative training programmes, contributing to his experience in public administration and political affairs.

Before entering the National Assembly, Musa was involved in community development and local government service. He also worked in political organization, serving as a political adviser and party mobilizer. These roles gave him experience in grassroots engagement and in coordinating political activities within Niger State.

Musa was elected to the House of Representatives in 2023 on the APC platform to represent Shiroro, Rafi and Munya Local Government Areas. His constituency includes communities that have faced challenges relating to insecurity, rural infrastructure, agriculture and access to government services. His legislative activities have therefore included issues concerning security and development in the three local government areas.

One of the issues he has raised in the National Assembly is the security situation in his constituency. In 2024, Musa brought matters before the House concerning the establishment of a special joint security task force for Shiroro, Rafi and Munya, as well as the incident involving miners trapped at a mining site in Shiroro. These interventions focused on improving security and emergency responses in communities within the constituency.

Musa has also participated in initiatives aimed at improving mobility and community engagement. In November 2025, he distributed 90 motorcycles to religious leaders and ward heads within his constituency, describing the intervention as support for community mobility and peace-building. His public activities have also included attention to rural infrastructure and youth empowerment.

In the 2027 electoral cycle, Modibo Ismail Musa is listed as the APC candidate for the Shiroro/Rafi/Munya Federal Constituency. His political career to date has therefore combined public administration, grassroots political organization and federal legislative service. His continued representation places him among the political figures associated with the development and security concerns of Shiroro, Rafi and Munya in Niger State.
