Biography of Hon. Mark Udo Esset

Hon. Mark Udo Esset is a Nigerian politician and legislator from Akwa Ibom State. Born on 21 August 1974 in Ibakang Nsit, Eastern Nsit, he has built his career through public service, grassroots politics and legislative representation.

Mark Udo Esset is the federal representative for the Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. He was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and became a member of the 10th National Assembly following the 2023 general election.

Before his election to the National Assembly, Esset was involved in community and political activities in Akwa Ibom State. His background in grassroots engagement has remained an important part of his approach to public service and constituency representation.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Esset has participated in legislative proceedings and advocated for development initiatives affecting his constituents. His areas of interest include infrastructure, education, youth empowerment and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of communities within his constituency.

He has also been involved in constituency-focused interventions designed to support residents and promote socioeconomic development.
