Edo | House of representatives
Hon. Lucky Eseigbe is a Nigerian lawyer, politician and public administrator from Edo State. He is associated with Esanland and is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency in Edo State for the 2027 House of Representatives election.
Eseigbe studied Law at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, where he obtained both his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LL.M) degrees. His legal training provided the foundation for his subsequent career in law, political administration and public service.
Before joining the Edo State Government, Eseigbe worked as a Legislative Aide, Legal Adviser and Consultant to members of the National Assembly. He held these roles from 2007 until November 2024, gaining experience in legislative affairs, legal advisory services and political administration.
In November 2024, he was appointed Managing Director of the Edo State Public Building and Maintenance Agency by Governor Monday Okpebholo. He subsequently became involved in the administration of government infrastructure and public building maintenance.
Eseigbe was later appointed Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Edo State. In that capacity, his responsibilities include matters relating to local government administration and the relationship between the state government and traditional institutions.
He entered the 2027 federal legislative contest after emerging as the APC candidate for the Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency during the party's 2026 primary process. His candidacy represents a move from legal and executive public service into direct federal legislative competition.
Lucky Eseigbe's career has therefore combined legal practice, legislative advisory work, state government administration and political participation. His public service has been connected particularly with Edo State and the Esan communities he seeks to represent in the House of Representatives.
