About Kaoje Bello Alhaji (Hon.)

Hon. Kaoje Bello Alhaji is a Nigerian politician and lawmaker from Kebbi State. He represents the Bagudo/Suru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Born on 15 June 1972, he has built a political career spanning local, state and federal public service, with particular involvement in legislative affairs and community development.

Before his return to the National Assembly, Kaoje served in different public and political capacities. He was a Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State and also worked as a Personal Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Sports. These appointments gave him experience in government administration and public affairs, while also strengthening his involvement in the political structure of Kebbi State.

Kaoje previously served as a member of the 7th House of Representatives, representing the Bagudo/Suru Federal Constituency. His earlier legislative experience provided him with an understanding of the workings of the National Assembly and the responsibilities involved in representing a federal constituency.

He subsequently returned to the House of Representatives and became a prominent member of the 10th National Assembly. During his current legislative tenure, he has served as Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture, where his responsibilities include oversight of federal agricultural institutions and programmes. Agriculture is particularly significant to Kebbi State, making the committee's work relevant to farmers, food production and rural economic development.

Beyond his legislative responsibilities, Kaoje has remained active within the political structure of the APC. He has also served as Zonal Vice Chairman of the APC Former Members Forum for the North-West Zone, reflecting his continued involvement in party and legislative networks beyond his immediate constituency.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Kaoje Bello Alhaji was reaffirmed as the APC candidate for the Bagudo/Suru Federal Constituency through the party's primary process. His candidacy gives him an opportunity to seek another term representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, where his political career has combined legislative experience with previous government appointments and party activities.
