Gombe | House of representatives
Hon. Garba Inuwa is a Nigerian politician and legislator from Gombe State. He represents the Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was elected to the 10th National Assembly in 2023, initially on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), before defecting to the APC in 2026.
Inuwa has a background in education and is listed with a Bachelor of Education degree in Education Planning. He also has earlier teaching and public-service experience, giving him a background in administration and community affairs. Current candidate records list him as the APC candidate for the Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.
Before his election to the National Assembly, Inuwa served in the Gombe State House of Assembly and rose to become Speaker of the Assembly in 2012. His experience at the state level provided him with legislative and leadership experience before his transition to federal politics.
Since joining the 10th National Assembly, Inuwa has participated in legislative activities relating to science, engineering, technology and community development. He serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Science, Engineering and Technology, with responsibilities covering legislative oversight of these sectors.
In 2026, Inuwa formally moved from the PDP to the APC and presented his membership card to the Gombe State Governor. He has continued his political activities in Yamaltu/Deba and is listed as the APC candidate for the constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election.
