Biography of Hon. Fuad Atanda-Lawal

Hon. Fuad Atanda-Lawal is a Nigerian politician and grassroots leader in Lagos State and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is the APC candidate for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State in the 2027 House of Representatives election. He secured the party’s ticket during the APC primaries held in May 2026.

Fuad Atanda-Lawal has a background in local government administration and community leadership. He previously served as the Executive Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA). He won the chairmanship election in 2017 under the APC and served two terms in the position.

During his time as chairman, Atanda-Lawal was involved in community-focused programmes and local government initiatives. His political activities have particularly been associated with the Ikoyi, Obalende and broader Eti-Osa area, where he developed a reputation as a grassroots political figure.

He has also been involved in political mobilisation and coordination within Eti-Osa. He currently serves as the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a role through which he has participated in political and community mobilisation activities.

In the 2026 APC primaries, Atanda-Lawal emerged as the party's candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, positioning him to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election.

His political career has therefore progressed from grassroots and local government administration to seeking representation at the federal level. His experience in local government and community politics remains a major part of his public profile as he prepares to contest the Eti-Osa federal seat.
