About Efuwape Olufunmilayo Temidayo (Hon.)

Hon. Olufunmilayo Temidayo Efuwape is a Nigerian politician and public administrator from Ogun State. She is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party's candidate for the Ikenne/Shagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election. Her political career has included grassroots local government administration, state executive service and party activities within Ogun State.

Efuwape has a background in public administration and community development. She became involved in grassroots politics in Ogun State and later served as Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, giving her direct experience in local government administration and working with communities within the Remo area.

Her political career subsequently expanded to the Ogun State Executive Council. She served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, where her responsibilities included policies and programmes relating to women, children, vulnerable groups and social development. Her work in this area brought her into contact with community organisations and various social-development initiatives across the state.

Efuwape later served as Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs in the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun. The portfolio involved coordination of special government assignments and interaction between different levels and institutions of government. Her movement between local government administration and state executive service gave her experience across different levels of public administration.

She has also remained active in the APC's political organisation in Ogun State. In May 2026, APC stakeholders from the three local government areas that make up the Remo Federal Constituency endorsed her as their consensus candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election. The constituency comprises Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North Local Government Areas.

Following the party's nomination process, Efuwape was listed as the APC candidate for Ikenne/Shagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency for the 2027 election. Her candidacy represents a move from executive government administration at the state level to a bid for federal legislative representation.

Efuwape's public career therefore spans local government administration, state executive service, social-development affairs and partisan politics. Her experience as a former Sagamu Local Government chairman and Ogun State commissioner forms the principal foundation of her political profile as she seeks to represent Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North in the House of Representatives.
