Emmanuel Memga Udende (born December 30, 1960) is a Nigerian lawyer and APC politician serving as the Senator for Benue North-East (Zone A) in the 10th National Assembly. He holds an LL.B from the University of Maiduguri and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School, with additional executive education from Harvard and Oxford.
Udende has extensive experience across local, state, and federal government. He served as a local government chairman, Benue State Commissioner, and spent two terms in the House of Representatives before being elected Senator in 2023, defeating former Governor Gabriel Suswam—a victory later upheld by the Court of Appeal.
In the Senate, he is Chairman of the Committee on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes and Vice Chairman of the Committee on Privatization. His legislative focus centers on anti-corruption, security, and governance reforms. At the constituency level, he has supported infrastructure projects, enhanced local security efforts, and facilitated federal employment opportunities for constituents.
