Hon. Regina Mbavekumtor Akume, born in 1955, is a Nigerian politician and former First Lady of Benue State, currently serving in the 10th House of Representatives for Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency under the APC.

She holds a B.Sc. degree and a WASC. As First Lady (1999–2007), she supported social initiatives during her husband George Akume’s governorship. Elected in 2023, she chairs the House Committee on NAFDAC and has led ad-hoc committees, focusing on women and youth empowerment, rural infrastructure, and basic healthcare.

Known as “Mother-General” or “Mama Odido,” she is recognized for her influence in Benue politics and her commitment to community development and Christian values.
