Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari (born November 12, 1965) is a seasoned Nigerian politician and technocrat serving as the Senator for Oyo North in the 10th National Assembly under the APC. He holds degrees in Business Administration, an MBA, and a PhD in Public Policy, and previously worked in senior corporate management and the Nigeria Customs Service.

A ranking legislator with over two decades in public office, Buhari served in the House of Representatives, held key roles in the Oyo State government, and has been a Senator since 2015. In the 10th Senate, he is Chairman of the Committee on Aviation, having previously chaired committees on Land Transport and ICT/Cybercrime.

His recent focus includes advancing educational institutions, facilitating federal employment for constituents, addressing aviation sector challenges, and sponsoring key legislation. As of early 2026, he is also widely discussed as a leading contender for the 2027 Oyo State governorship.
