Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji is a Nigerian banker, administrator, and politician who has served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) since October 2023. Before his appointment to lead NIWA, he was Commissioner for Finance in Osun State under the administrations of former Governors Rauf Aregbesola and Gboyega Oyetola, where he played a key role in the state's fiscal management and economic planning.

Born on November 17, 1965, in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State, Nigeria, Oyebamiji began his education at A.D.C. Primary School, Oke-Ada, Ikire, before attending Ayedaade Grammar School, Ikire. He obtained both his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Banking and Finance from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. He later earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Lagos State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ado-Ekiti. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and other professional bodies.

Oyebamiji began his professional career in the banking industry with Wema Bank Plc in 1989. He later worked with Trans International Bank, Spring Bank Plc, and Enterprise Bank, holding several senior management positions in business development, finance, and regional operations. His extensive experience in banking and financial management established him as a respected professional in Nigeria's financial sector.

His public service career commenced in 2012 when he was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Osun State Investment Company Limited (OSICOL), now Omoluabi Holdings Limited. Under his leadership, the company recorded significant growth and improved financial performance. He was subsequently appointed Commissioner for Finance in Osun State, serving under Governors Rauf Aregbesola and Gboyega Oyetola, where he oversaw budget implementation, revenue generation, and fiscal reforms.

In 2023, Oyebamiji served briefly as Special Adviser to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed him Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA). At NIWA, he has focused on improving inland water transportation, enhancing waterway safety, expanding port infrastructure, and promoting investment in Nigeria's inland waterways sector.

Beyond his public service, Oyebamiji is recognized for his contributions to community development and philanthropy. He has supported educational initiatives, youth empowerment programmes, and interfaith harmony in Osun State. His blend of banking expertise, administrative experience, and public sector leadership has made him a prominent figure in Nigerian governance.
