Alhaji Kabir Mohammed Baba is a Nigerian businessman, banker and public figure from Bauchi State. He was born on 15 June 1960 in Azare, Bauchi State, and has built a career spanning banking, business management and community service.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Maiduguri, an MSc in Agricultural Engineering from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and MBA from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. He has also undertaken professional training in banking, finance and management.
Baba began his professional career in the banking sector, working with Savannah Bank of Nigeria and later FSB International Bank. He subsequently joined Zenith Bank Plc, where he served as an Assistant General Manager before leaving the banking industry.
He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Manka Ventures Industries Limited, a company involved in areas including project management, construction, estate management and general contracting. His private-sector career has given him extensive experience in management and business development.
Beyond business, Kabir Mohammed Baba has been involved in professional and community organisations. He has served as Chairman of the Bauchi State Branch of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and has participated in initiatives relating to professional development, environmental protection and community advancement.
His name has also appeared in Nigerian electoral records as a political candidate in Bauchi State. In the 2023 House of Representatives election, he contested the Katagum Federal Constituency seat under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Through his career in banking, business, professional organisations and public affairs, Kabir Mohammed Baba has maintained a profile spanning the private sector and community-oriented activities in Bauchi State.
