Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Abdullahi is a Nigerian politician from Katsina State and a member of the Federal House of Representatives. He represents the Matazu/Musawa Federal Constituency of Katsina State and is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He became a member of the 10th National Assembly following the 2023 general elections.
Ahmed Aliyu Abdullahi was born in 1975 in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State. He began his education at Yero Primary School in Musawa and later attended Government Secondary School, Musawa. He subsequently studied at Government Science and Technical College in Mashi and Funtua before completing his secondary education at Federal Science College, Sokoto. He also attended Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsin-Ma, and later Bayero University, Kano, where he obtained a B.Sc. in Political/Economic Science in 2003.
Before entering elective politics, Abdullahi gained experience in both the private and public sectors. After completing his university education, he became involved in business activities in Katsina and Kaduna States. In 2003, he became General Manager of D Radda Ventures Nigeria Limited, an oil and gas company. His political career reached the federal level in the 2023 general elections, when he contested and won the Matazu/Musawa Federal Constituency seat under the APC. His election brought him into the 10th House of Representatives, where he has participated in legislative proceedings and constituency representation.
Within the House of Representatives, Abdullahi has held a significant legislative responsibility as Chairman of the House Committee on Interior. The committee's work covers matters connected with internal security and agencies under the Ministry of Interior. His legislative responsibilities have therefore extended beyond constituency representation into national policy and parliamentary oversight.
In 2024, the Emir of Katsina conferred on him the traditional title of Dujuman Katsina, making him the first holder of the title. The recognition was associated with his contributions to his constituency and wider community activities.
Ahmed Aliyu Abdullahi's career combines business experience, public-sector service, political administration and federal legislative representation. Through his representation of Matazu and Musawa, he remains involved in the political and developmental affairs of Katsina State while carrying out his responsibilities in the National Assembly.
